Daylight Saving Time - I'm 1 hour ahead

Post by manu123 »

Hello everyone
I'm having problem setting up the time through my Linksys WRTP54G router. Its still showing me 1 hour ahead in the phone.
We recently changed the time. The current right time is 3:00 PM but showing 4:00 PM in my phone. I'm located in Quebec, Canada. I set up the correct timezone "UTC -05:00 Eastern Time (US & Canada) in my router but no luck.

I use to change the setting in Router > Voice > Regional > under Miscellaneous section at: "Time Zone" but this didn't help me this time.
Do I need to setup the "Daylight Saving Time Rule:" if yes, what should I put?
Note: In order to see all these options, you need to click on the "Admin Login" on the right top corner.
Please see the attachment.

Thanks in advance.

Try putting this in the daylight saving time rule -

start=3/8/7/2:00;end=11/1/7/2:00;save=1

Hello hanke
Thanks for the replay. I didn't put the line you mentioned.
It weird but the time is corrected after I got incoming call at home (FPL). That mean once you put the correct TIME ZONE in the router you have to call once to FPL number, in my case my home number. It was not the case last summer.

Well if it works for you, thats good. If you ever have to reboot the router/ata or if you have that set as well to check time from a Time Server it will always be correct. The rule I suggested is for Canada (Ontario) so it will work, other areas of the world do not all have the same DST rules so this is why I have mine set as such. I dont trust the FPL time settings.
